AI Content Policy
We use AI tools responsibly to help produce content on BISP Help. This policy explains exactly how, and what safeguards we apply, so readers can trust what they read.
1. How we use AI
AI may be used to draft article outlines and first versions based on a structured brief (topic, keywords, category, audience). This speeds up drafting — nothing more. AI is a writing assistant, not our editor and not our source of truth.
2. Human review before publishing
Every AI-assisted draft goes through the same editorial process as any other article:
- Factual review — official details are checked against official sources or marked for verification.
- Style and tone editing — plain language, respectful tone, no sensationalism.
- SEO review — titles, descriptions, headings, and structure are checked with our SEO tool.
- Publication only after an editor approves the final version.
AI drafts are saved as drafts and are never published automatically.
3. What AI is never allowed to do
- Invent official details — payment dates, amounts, eligibility thresholds, helpline numbers, or web addresses.
- Claim to be an official government source.
- Express political opinions or sensational claims.
- Publish without human review.
4. Verification rules
Our prompts explicitly instruct the AI to tell readers to verify changing details through official BISP channels, and our editors enforce this. Where a specific number or date appears, we either confirm it from an official source or remove it and point to official verification instead.
5. Transparency
We do not mark individual AI-assisted articles because our process is uniform: human-reviewed either way. This policy is our public commitment, and our Editorial Policy covers the standards applied to all content.
6. Accountability
If you believe an article contains an error — AI-related or not — contact us. We correct errors promptly and review our process when mistakes are reported.
